Florence Street have lined Phoebe Bridgers’ ‘Georgia’ for the Like a Model sequence on Australian radio – watch beneath.
The fast-rising Irish band launched their mixtape ‘Fall Again’ in June, their first launch on a serious label, and in September they shared the breezy single ‘Break The Lady’.
They’ve spent the final two weeks touring round Australia opening for Royel Otis, and on Thursday (October 30), they stopped by at Triple J as the most recent act to carry out a one-off cowl model for the Like a Model sequence.
They picked ‘Georgia’ from Bridgers’ 2017 debut album ‘Stranger In The Alps’, with frontwoman Lily Aron explaining: “It was robust to choose a music as a result of there’s so many nice songs on the market, however [drummer] Hannah [Kelly] had gone to see Phoebe Bridgers in Eire and she or he performed ‘Georgia,’ which she doesn’t usually do, and I feel that form of caught in Hannah’s mind and she or he was like ‘What if we did ‘Georgia’?’ We usually rock out so it was form of good to do one thing a bit extra stripped-back.”
