Two up to date singers are becoming a member of forces to current a recital of experimental vocal music. Eleanor Westbrook and Oskar McCarthy, together with pianist Ben Smith are presenting Up to date Vocal Sünds at The Uplands, St Leonards-on-Sea (20 July) and Lauderdale Home, Highgate (22 July) with playful and radical method to voice in works from the twentieth and twenty first century, difficult typical concepts of vocal efficiency.
The recital options composers akin to John Cage, Iannis Xenakis and Georges Aperghis, alongside items by Errollyn Wallen, Judith Weir, Cheryl Frances-Hoad and Liz Dilnot Johnson, plus the premiere of an digital remodeling of Jean-Philippe Rameau by Nico Bentley.
Eleanor Westbrook is an interdisciplinary performer working on the intersection of opera, bodily theatre, clowning, and experimental music.
