In a now-deleted picture on Instagram, Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer was pictured with producer Nick Raskulinecz – recognized for his earlier work with Korn on The Nothing in 2019 – and mixing engineer Chris Lord–Alge – recognized for his work with Inexperienced Day and My Chemical Romance – in a studio, with the caption, “What a blast with Nick Raskulinecz and Munkey mixing Korn!! Heavy badass rock!!!”
Whereas the picture was initially uploaded to Lord-Alge‘s private Instagram account, it has since been eliminated, presumably as a result of in keeping with Brian “Head” Welch simply final week when speaking to Loudwire [as transcribed by thePRP], “We’re a lucky band, we’ve been round for awhile and we’ve obtained an intensive catalogue with loads of well-known songs. We’re focusing proper now on our reside present… it appears like we don’t even want a brand new album. All the pieces’s simply going so effectively, however that’s to not say we’re not going to seek out a while to go in once more. I really feel prefer it’s not precedence proper now.”
Welch went as far to say, “I actually love the truth that it’s taking a very long time. I all the time instructed administration that I want that we might wait a little bit bit between albums. We’re simply so hooked on the studio that we get in there and we’re placing albums out each two or three years, ever since I rejoined. And so, I really like that there’s been delays.”
So, there’s actually no telling what they have been engaged on, if it was this album that Welch talked about in his Loudwire interview, or one thing totally different solely. Both means, Lord-Alge could have unknowingly broke the information of a brand new Korn file.
