2:30 – 4:30 “Eye Mechanisms for Puppets” with Lisa Zagone
It is a mixture demo and “hands-on” workshop. The demo explores a wide range of mechanisms for including expressiveness to puppets, akin to eyelids, transferring eyes, eyebrows, nostril ear and whisker wiggles. It’ll function mechanisms for transferring mouth puppets in addition to picket puppets (rod puppets and marionettes) and counsel examples for retrofitting present puppets. Lee Armstrong is the co-owner of Sonoma-based Photographs in Movement which makes a speciality of TV puppetry. A regional Emmy winner, Lee has taught puppetry to hundreds of kids and adults and has served as Lecturer at UC Santa Cruz for “Jim Henson and the Artwork of the Muppets.” Her credit embody the unique Fraggle Rock, Being John Malkovich, PBS exhibits, commercials and extra.
