There are few movie composers who’ve created music as iconic as Ennio Morricone. A few of his most memorable soundtracks had been recorded at Discussion board Studios, the recording studio he co-founded in 1969 alongside Armando Trovajoli, Luis Bacalov and Piero Piccioni.
When Morricone was there recording his rating for the movie As soon as Upon a Time in America, one of many folks within the room was a 12-year-old child named Marco Patrignani.
“I completely keep in mind, as a younger boy, working across the studio and experiencing the facility of an orchestra, performing the superb music of Ennio,” he says.
Patrignani’s mother and father ran the studio throughout that point. Now, he is in cost. As a part of our Sense of Place: Rome sequence, Patrignani provides you a tour of Discussion board Studios, and he talks about caring for this particular place and all its historical past.
